There are no exact recommendations for the duration of the treatment with probiotics. It depends on different factors, most important of which are the type of probiotic and its ingredients, the degree of distortion in the intestinal microflora, and the clinical condition for which the probiotic is prescribed. The duration of the treatment should be determined by the treating physician, the recommended intake period is between 2 and 8 weeks.
Depending on the underlying disease that has led to dysbiosis, improvement of the intestinal microflora and digestion, as well as reduction of the related to the dysbiosis problems - abdominal discomfort, flatulence (gas) and others could be expected after intake of ProCombo.
Usually, antibiotic treatment distorts the composition and metabolic activity of the normal intestinal flora. That side effect occurs during the first three days of the intake of antibiotics. Antibiotics-induced dysbiosis has adverse effects on human health, some of which remain long after the end of the antibiotic treatment.
